On Friday, June 19, Latteria di Chiuro presented its third Sustainability Report together with its first three-year Sustainability Strategic Plan for 2026–2028.
The event, titled Insieme per un'Economia Virtuosa di Montagna, took place at Laghetto Hotel Diffuso in Caiolo and brought together more than 100 employees, cooperative members and milk suppliers.
The choice of audience was particularly meaningful: the evening was dedicated first and foremost to the people who make up the cooperative, before external stakeholders or institutional partners. This reflects the approach Latteria di Chiuro has taken throughout its sustainability journey, building it from the ground up through the direct involvement of those who work along the supply chain every day.
The three-year Sustainability Strategic Plan is built around four key pillars: strengthening the value of the supply chain, caring for people, promoting quality and transparency, and preserving local roots while respecting the territory. Rather than being a statement of intent, the plan sets out concrete operational objectives that will guide the cooperative's decisions over the coming years, from human resources management and relationships with member suppliers to product quality and responsibility towards the Valtellina area.
The event featured contributions from Franco Marantelli Colombin, President of Latteria di Chiuro; Lorenzo Aliverti, General Manager; and Stella Gubelli, Chief Executive Officer of Altis Advisory, the consulting firm that has supported the cooperative's sustainability journey since its inception and reaffirmed the strategic importance of this long-term commitment.
During the outdoor event, participants took part in an interactive team-based experience designed to explore the contents of the Sustainability Report through questions and challenges inspired by the four strategic pillars. This engaging format transformed a technical document into a shared experience, strengthening participants' sense of belonging and reinforcing awareness of each individual's role in the cooperative's sustainability journey.
"Sustainability is not a goal that can be achieved alone," said Franco Marantelli Colombin. "It is a collective journey, built day by day through everyone's commitment and participation. This evening was the most meaningful way to recognize the contribution of our people and to share with them the direction we want to take together."
